Certain documents must be uploaded in the form of a scanned copy during the online application process before the application can be submitted. These papers are required if someone wants to apply for a passport renewal. Later, the original documents must be brought in person for verification to the Passport Seva Kendra. Some documents must be submitted in the office as photocopies. The rules may occasionally state that the photocopies must also be self-attested.

Evidence of identification: A legally recognized record with the candidate’s full name on it. This must be provided because it is the identification that is included on the person’s official government records. Age documentation: The candidate must also produce documentation attesting to their date of birth. A birth certificate or a school diploma endorsement that clearly states the date of birth might serve as age proof because they have the person’s date of birth specified on them. Address confirmation: Additional documentation confirming the candidate’s residence is required. The address on the identity proof must match the address entered on the passport renewal form. This serves as confirmation that the address given is accurate. Although the majority of Passport Seva Kendra are equipped with cameras designed to take passport-estimated images of the candidates, passport renewal applicants must nonetheless provide two recent identification-measured photos of themselves. Old visa booklet: In accordance with the rules, the applicant must also produce their expired passport booklet before a new passport booklet is issued by the passport Seva Kendra. This serves as proof that the booklet’s expiration date has truly passed and it is no longer valid. Duplicate of the first and last pages of the booklet that has been self-authenticated: The applicant is required to produce a copy of the first and last pages of the old visa booklet that has been self-authenticated. A printout of the online page that displays the installment, time, and date of the appointment issued for the passport renewal process must be presented by the candidate if a meeting with the Passport Seva Kendra has been scheduled online. The entire procedure is instantly stopped if any false or misleading information is provided by a person, incorrect information is provided, phony documentation is discovered, or cases of dishonest people are discovered. Police officials are notified to take the appropriate precautions and the passport is sealed. This case is handled with the utmost attention and importance. People who are caught providing fake documentation for a passport renewal are treated as criminals and are subject to imprisonment. They are only qualified to reapply once they have received clearance from the center.
