WHAT TO DO IN COLLEGE IF YOU FEEL OVERWHELMED Every young adult’s life might become overwhelming when they start college. It doesn’t matter if you are a freshman or a senior or anything in between; whether you are a first-generation college student or the tenth generation of your family to attend college.

What do you do if you feel overburdened by college, whether it is your coursework, your social life, or your on-campus part-time job? I believe that if you use these suggestions, you will be able to reduce your emotions of overwhelm and return to the state of mild stress that all college students aspire to.

Feeling overwhelmed in college can be stressful and lonely. Instead of letting this negatively impact your grades, learn positive ways to be a successful college student instead. Be more productive, practice self-care, and learn to prioritize to avoid feeling overwhelmed in the future. #college

Regaining control of your thoughts is the first step to moving past your emotions of overwhelm. When we allow our ideas to run amok, overwhelm sets in, but if you can control your thoughts, you can make better decisions.
